Hazbin Hotel's Creator Is Aware of Your Second Season Bingo Cards — And She Has Positive Updates

The much-anticipated second season of the musical adult cartoon Hazbin Hotel launches on Prime Video soon, and audience theories has been rampant.

The first season presents a diverse group of characters residing in Hell and Heaven, sets them at odds accompanied by songs detailing their conflicts, and builds heated competitions and angsty, affectionate connections that drive fan obsession.

The fandom's stated hopes for season 2 vary widely, but certain threads emerge over and over: Could Angel Dust escape his tormentor? Might we learn more about the binding agreement affecting the enigmatic Alastor? Will [favorite character] and [other character] finally get together?

"Naturally, I don't produce the show with fan service specifically in mind," the creator stated recently. "But I believe that me being a fan of my own show means there's a lot of it just inherently. I also want to see these things, and I want some of these things to occur, and clearly some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

She says her big-picture plan is for five seasons of Hazbin Hotel. Seasons 3 and 4 have received approval by Prime Video and A24, which produce the series.

That might mean viewers have to wait years for some of the biggest payoffs — but they may be surprised at how fast the new season moves, and how much of what they're waiting for unfolds this season.

"I believe people are going to get a lot out of it," she adds. "We get some firsts. I think we get some really amazing reveals, some fascinating backstories, and even just simple things, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] We're going to hear much more singing from the previously silent cast members."

She's certainly aware of the guesses and hopes about the upcoming season — especially in the format of fan bingo cards.

"I've seen a couple people create a prediction grid about the new season," she says. "Obviously I won't share it, but I've already completed a few items, and almost all of them have almost a bingo. I was like, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that makes me think we accomplish much [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I realized, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that makes me happy."

Hazbin Hotel the second season premieres on the streaming service on Oct. 29.
